In book 2 of The Immortal Heart Series Magen Mcminimy gives us Kale's story. Oh how I have been looking forward to this. We also learn of Katarina, the one Kale lost and loved so much.

Kale was led to believe for the last 15 years that Katarina died. Not only that, but Kale has always believed that she deceived him, set him up..... He is not alone.... Kat thinks the exact same thing.

Kale throws himself into a world of tattoos and his new best friend patron.
Kat has thrown herself into a world of hiding and getting by with her TROW, Jake.

Kale is thrown into a whirlwind of longing for answers when he feels the presence of a Succubus. Could it be Katarina? The love of his life?

Katarina, (Kitten) is what Kale called her. I will refer to her as Kat. She is a strong, fierce and a sexy Succubus. She is not one to cross and she will protect the ones she loves.

Kale and Kat will figure out the truth of what happened on the worst day of their lives. Did Kat really send that Pixie to set him up, to cross in to the Dark's land?

The passion, the fire, the love making that these two share is so seductive and sensuous. They literally get drunk on each others touch and had me loving every magic moment.

I have to mention that if you are a fan of this series, you will be so happy to know Bain and Izzy are around, which made me a very giddy girl. After all, who can really get enough of these FINE~SEXY sexy brothers!!

The deeper Magen takes us with the Fae, the Brownies, the Asrai the better! There are so many more that I was held captive by. I can so appreciate the descriptions of these creatures. I love being taken to a place that I have never been before. Magen takes me away, teaches me new things and leaves me falling in love with the surroundings and these intriguing characters.
I am so in love with this series and can't wait get my hands on Immortal Promise.

A light and heart felt short story about my favorite family. S.L. Dearing lifts our spirits with just the right amount of love and some mending of broken hearts.

Back at Lia Fail Christmas has come. The castle is decorated with the mixture of Christmas and Yule. The beauty of it all is felt all around. I was left with a longing wish to teleport into this magical place.

With a year gone since Lia Fail hosted the gathering, there are many family members still devastated at the loss of loved ones.
Alia Stark wishes upon a falling star. She wishes for great comfort and happiness for her family that has suffered so much.
Alia hopes for their empty hearts to be filled with joy.... will they get the peace they need and deserve this holiday season?

I absolutely loved this short! It was full of MAGIC & SURPRISES!! It filled my own heart with so much happiness and I felt the love. S.L. Dearing brings the beauty of this story to life and gives us our fill of what we have missed so much.

I am thrilled beyond belief to have my fix of Lia Fail again. I am anticipating what will come next. After all, there is something so En-Dearing about each time we are graced with the presence of these characters and their continued story.

As the loyal book lover that I am, I shall await the next treasure that S.L. Dearing will dream up.

~My Review~

First of all I have never read a Fae book, but have always wanted to. I am so happy this was my first!! It left the greatest impression upon me and I am now a HUGE Fae fan.

The characters Magen McMinimy has created melts you from first sight. And yes I do mean these sexy Immortal Light Fae Warriors. *Licking lips as I write this*

Bain has been on the tail of a Dark Fae that loves to take the luck away from his victims. Bain and Kale (We will learns Kale's story in the next book) find this Dark Fae about to make his move on Isabelle Moreno. Little does Izzy know this Dark Fae wants more than just her company.

After saving Izzy from this luck eater, Bain will stop at nothing to protect Izzy at all costs.

Bain and Izzy embark upon a love story so touching, so heart felt, so sexy it gives you shivers up and down your spine.
I love when I can feel a book. I was captivated and so compelled with this journey. When you can breathe words in and absorb them into your very soul, you know you have a great read on your hands and it left me personally wanting more of Magen McMinimy's books to read. Oh wait, I already started Kale's story.

    This couldn’t be reality. Had they really been abducted? No! No! No! Please let this be a dream. A 

nightmare. Please let me wake up and find myself in my own bed. Things like this didn’t happen, not to 

her. Not to her brother! Certainly not in America.  

     Her family didn’t have money, so she knew this wasn’t about ransom.  

     Without moving she scanned the room trying to gain her bearings. She was curled up on the floor in the 

corner of a small room, that much was obvious. Her body ached. She tried to straighten her legs out but 

they remained bent. She couldn’t even push herself up to sitting. 

     The walls were white and metal filing cabinets lined the walls. A large wooden desk sat off to the left with 

a computer. No windows. No pictures or paintings on the wall. Nothing personal whatsoever.    

     Her eyes continued to dart around the room, finally settling on the men. They were large, wore dark suits 

and looked scary. One was tall with a hook nose and curly blond hair, the other was short but muscular 

with a bald head. They were not the same men from the car.  

     Desperately she tried to fight the panic that rose in her chest once she realized her brother was not in the 

room with them. Where was he? At least she knew he was alive from their comments. Too young? For 

what? So many questions and no answers. Maybe if she could figure out where they were they could 

escape.

     In the dead of night their boat went unnoticed by the sentries as the current tossed the boat around. If they 

were like most guards they were probably dozing on the job. But she had to assume they were heavily 

armed and dangerous. Erik hit the throttle and veered off at the last second bringing the boat back around 

again, getting as close as possible. 

     Dim lights glowed from some of the portholes, but most were dark.  

     Kaitlyn analyzed the wind and gauged the waves before leaping forward, she grabbed ahold of the ladder 

rung and pulled herself up quickly, climbing with ease. Erik was close on her heels.  

     Silently Kaitlyn dropped to the floor, and simply stood there watching, listening. Her mind went cold, 

analytical. She could hear muted voices, footsteps scraping, water dripping, the hum of fluorescent lights. 

     In the distance someone coughed. No one was aware of their presence. 

     The ship was old, rusty and large. It was 965 foot long and had almost 3,000 shipping containers on it.  

     The captives could be anywhere. Mentally she went over the blue prints seeking out the largest rooms 

where Dasvoik would most likely sleep. She vectored in a couple of locations. 

     The stench was overwhelming—rotten food, feces and urine to name a few mixed with the salty air. While 

her sensors were busy sorting out the different scents, sounds and possible scenarios they could encounter, 

     Kaitlyn panned back and forth scanning the area, taking in the heat sensors.  

Several different caution symbols illuminated on her internal screen. Nearby an armed guard stood off to 

her left. The man was completely unaware he was a breath away from death— if he made the wrong move.

S.M. Knowles was born in Elmira, New York where she was swept away in a whirlwind to the Land of Oz—Independence, Kansas. Her parents were relocating for working opportunities and decided that this would be the perfect place to start new roots. Little did she know that this place would contribute to the inspiration for the first book she wrote in her Rylee Everley Series.

While growing up, S.M. would travel the roads around her house while imagining she was somewhere else. Her imagination would take her everywhere, making the long hot summer days seem shorter throughout her fantasies.

At the age of twelve, she decided to write her first book. Filled mostly with dialog, she filled up one-hundred pages, front and back. After taking the book downstairs to show her mom, and persuading her to buy her more paper, she excitedly ran back to her room. When she became older, she joined the military for something different. In that time, she was able to explore many places and even met her husband in Iraq. After coming home, she started her family in Arizona and went back to school, earning a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Training.
